HISTORY

The Company (previously known locally as Nick Koen Auto Alignment Centre) started in 1952 and Kobie Koen, the son of the late founder, Nick Koen, has grown the company to the current KoenïC & Wheel Warehouse concept. A few indicators of the more than one thousand four hundred percent (1430%) growth in the first ten years and the successes that we talk about would be a list of some of the awards achieved during this ten-year period, ranging from best complete alignment centre to numerous sales awards from Michelin, Pirelli, Cooper and Mabor.

Below we list a few of our awards

•  Period 92 - Michelin award - Top 10 dealers in the country.

• Period 95 - Michelin award  - 2nd in B category, which included corporate, purchases.

• Period 94 - Pirelli incentive trip  - Italy.

• Period 95 - Pirelli incentive trip  - Greece.

• Period 96 - Pirelli incentive trip   - Thailand.

• Period 94 - Mabor incentive trip  - Mozambique.

• Period 95- Mabor incentive trip  - Mozambique, Tyres for Africa dealer of the year

• Period 96 - Mabor incentive trip  - Mozambique

• Period 97 - Cooper incentive trip  - Mozambique  - joint venture with Toyota S.A

• Period 97 - Winner Michelin - Regional category competition.

• Period 98 - Runner up in category – Michelin World cup soccer France.

• Period 91/97 - Wheel alignment training to Witbank S Q , Benoni Fastfit, Fordjies Bande Namibia. 

                            Not mentioning the minor individual companies.

• April 96 - Article in Drive Magazine quoted us as the chassis and alignment specialists in the country. Article done by Drive in an independent survey.
